Notes from the Deckle Edge
![]() I'm guessing you might think I like potato chips. Well, you wouldn't be wrong but that isn't why I am featuring this product. I believe in value, both in paintings and life in general. So when I stumbled upon this little gem I knew I had to share this two-fer. Yes, you can enjoy any number of flavors of this potato product, but when you are through with the chips - keep the container. Remove the paper from the outside and clean it with some Dawn dish detergent (great for getting rid of greasy residue) and voila! - you have a wonderful container for carrying your brushes to workshops or plein air painting. In fact you could carry a few tubes of paint in it as well, pencils, erasures, etc. The size of the container makes it so versatile. So there is your tip for the day. Oh and by the way, the cost ranges from about $1 to $1.20....and you get a snack too. Give it a try, all you have to lose is the calories. Back to my brushes.
