I have had a couple of weeks with few commitments and I have put my brushes down for the duration of this unexpected break. Instead I am catching up on daily life efforts that I have let go for too long. At the end of each day, the experience has given me a feeling of great accomplishment and peace of mind. I look forward to another week of the same. Here's to starting the year at peace with my surroundings. Back to my brushes soon.
"The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails." William Arthur Ward It has been awhile since I posted, but I've been at my brushes. I had finished a painting and upon reflection decided to have another try at it. I changed the focus of detail. I changed the color triad I used. I changed the size. I prefer this one to the first. But I see something in this one that I would like to try again. I'll pursue that later this year. I am ready now to start a new painting that will take me a few months to complete, but I am looking forward to starting it soon. Sometimes my choices appear more like an obstacle course. Back to my brushes.
