My painting titled "Entwined" has been accepted in the 2017 National Watercolor Society's 97th International Open Exhibition. I will share that it is probably not what you are expecting. For that reason, I must admit, I was surprised when I got the news. From concept to final product, I thoroughly enjoyed the process of creating it. I hope you have the opportunity to see it if you are in the area: Opening Reception, Saturday October 21, 2017 2:00-4:00 p.m. Exhibition dates: October 21st - December 17th, 2017 (Excluding Thanksgiving) Hours: Thursday and Friday 10 - 2; Saturday & Sunday Noon - 4; and 1st Thursday Artwalk 6 - 9 p.m. NWS Gallery, 915 South Pacific Avenue

"The lure of the distant and the difficult is deceptive. The great opportunity is where you are." - John Burroughs
Today is the TWSA's 41st Celebrate Watercolor Dinner and I wish I could have been in attendance. Celebrating from here pales in comparison to the joy of meeting those that share my passion for this wonderful medium. Alas, it could not be helped. So, from afar I raise my glass and salute all those who are: enjoying the celebration, gained signature status, exhibited this year and/or won awards. I send my warmest congratulations and hope that we will have future opportunities to run across one another. Back to my brushes.
