There are some things...
There are some things that lift my spirits immediately. Most are pretty universal: laughter, a beautiful day, family and friends. But another reliable one is taking the time to reconstitute my palette. It seems such a simple thing, but the action of doing it is not unlike meditation. Quietly focused on my thoughts, I breathe. Seeing the dried colors come to life is almost spiritual in nature - definitely inspirational. I use a squeeze bottle instead of a sprayer (control you know) and a flat brush that I use only for this process. If I don't have time to paint, this is a good alternative. Breathe. Back to my brushes.
"You can act to change and control your life; and the procedure, the process is its own reward." - Amelia Earhart
