Notes from the Deckle Edge
Stuck at Crystal Bridges this week while they removed a large tree that had crashed down on a car that was heading out. The two occupants were not hurt, but the car was smashed. Really quite fortunate the way the tree hit the car, because is was stunning to witness the damage. They offered us free coffee while we waited. It took about an hour. Not surprising with the saturated ground and it had rained really hard within 30 minutes of it coming down. Sorry I don't have a photo, but my phone was dead. That's the way it goes in the tech world. Have had company this week which has been a lot of fun. Didn't finish this painting as expected, but sometimes you just need to go with the flow and leave paintings for another day. I will look at it with fresh eyes tomorrow. Back to my brushes.
