Took paintings for the Illinois River Salon to the framer yesterday. Luckily they will be ready in time. Spent the afternoon painting yesterday. Studied this work with an objective eye for about half an hour last night under different lighting. Those observations helped me form a plan of attack for today. Back to my brushes.

Received news this evening that two of my paintings have been accepted in the 2013 Illinois River Salon Art Exhibition. Presented by the Illinois River Watershed Partnership and the Heart of America Artists' Association and sponsored by the Windgate Foundation and Illinois River Watershed Partnership. The exhibition is held at the lovely Compton Gardens in Bentonville, Arkansas. You can look at links on my event page for more information. Getting these off to the framer tomorrow!
Did not get to paint as planned today. My youngest developed another infection associated with removing four wisdom teeth. Hopefully this new round of antibiotics will clear this up completely. Back to my brushes delayed till tomorrow. "It is not so much our friends' help that helps us, as the confidence of their help." - Epicurus Took a short mini-break to LR and had a great time. Worked on "Revolution" again today for about 6 1/2 hours. I think it will be finished by the end of the week. That is the plan. I spent some time drawing guidelines on the companion piece. That didn't take to long because it is a rather minimalist piece. Which is funny considering the complexity of this one. Did get an e-mail that my painting arrived in Pennsylvania. That was good news. It's 11:35 p.m. now and time to call it a day. Back to my brushes - tomorrow.
