Be sure and attend the Camden Daffodil Festival if you are near that part of the state this weekend. You can press this link and get information on all the events listed on their website. Be sure and stop by Frame of Mind and see my painting before it goes home with its new owner. My objective was to portray a rather loose arrangement of flowers but address the traditions and history of the area at the same time. I felt I met my objectives, and I was very pleased with the colorful background. If you are looking for somewhere to rest your feet and have a great lunch or dinner, be sure and stop by the Postmaster's Grill. Back to my brushes.

It is my pleasure to share that my painting "Revolutions of Five" has been selected by the Jury of Awards for inclusion in the American Watercolor Society's 147th Annual Traveling Exhibition. It is my honor to be among those artists whose work will go on a circuit of museums and galleries around the country in the year ahead. A list of paintings in this show and the itinerary will be included in the exhibition catalog. Back to my brushes.
"Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year." - Ralph Waldo Emerson I spent the afternoon painting and enjoying the incredible light we had this afternoon. We had one inch of sleet and two inches of snow. But my friend, who lives a few miles north of here, got four inches of snow so I can hardly complain. So I had a great day. I added a very brief documentary review with a little bit of personal nostalgia thrown in for fun. Does everyone realize that this weekend is "spring forward"! More hours of sunshine - YES! Back to my brushes.
"I never had a policy; I have just tried to do my very best each and every day." - Abraham Lincoln Had to cut short my trip this weekend because of the weather forecast. A shame since the weather stalled and I could have spent more time where it was 67 degrees plus spent more time with my family. But even cut short it was a treat to travel and get out of the house after being sick. (Although eight hours in the car is a bit much for one day.) We are experiencing thunder sleet this afternoon. The light is abysmal, so instead of getting out my brushes I watched a couple of documentaries. I have added one short review and will add the other later. Back to my brushes - tomorrow.
