Light was awful today, so I did some drawing. Looks promising.

Met my friend yesterday who off-handedly mentioned it felt like they had an elephant sitting on their chest. WHAT?! No painting yesterday.
"If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough. " - Oprah Winfrey Several weeks ago I purchased some 3M masking tape and frankly it was awful. It wouldn't come off the roll properly- just kept ripping. Then it wouldn't work on the paper either, paint kept seeping underneath. It was beyond annoying. I say this because I actually sat down and contacted 3M to tell them how unhappy I was with their "new" "greener" masking tape. Well, it's not greener if I have to throw it away. To their credit, they sent me a postage-paid label to send the offensive tape to them. I was happy to comply (less trash in the local landfill). I asked them not to replace it unless it was their old formula tape. Well, today I received two rolls of replacement tape from 3M. Which is fantastic but not the point of this story. Included was a short letter which read "Dear Valued Customer: Thank you for contacting the 3M Company. Please accept the enclosed product(s) on behalf of 3M. We welcome your comments. Best Regards...etc." Wait for it..... Included in the package was a packing list which reads: "Item CCCHIM00020 Generic Complimentary Letter". That my friends is comedy gold. I laughed till I stopped.

"The finest things in life are the least expected." - Anuhea What a beautiful day it was yesterday. The light was perfect and I enjoyed painting all afternoon. Today it is overcast, but surprisingly the light isn't too shabby. This piece is coming along nicely. A scene from Eureka Springs on a half page. Still thinking about the work "Rebar Jungle" laying on my work table. In my sketch it seemed perfect, but I'm not so sure. I'm considering changes, so I am doing this piece in the interim to clear my mind.
